Who is where, and where the Base Camps are. Useful for finding someone close enough to actually meet up with — or for spotting that three of you are in the same city and didn't know it. Gold dots are mates; a mint ring is a Base Camp, and one that pulses has a meetup in the next 14 days.
2 mates and 1 Base Camp on the map · dots are city centres, not addresses · a mint ring is a Base Camp; one that pulses has a meetup soon

Dots sit on the centre of a town or city (or a US ZIP code), never a street address, and so does a Base Camp. Your location is looked up on our own server and never sent to an outside service — the map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, which only sees which part of the world you're viewing.
